Adult Immunizations -- Tuesday, December 15 2009
We would recommend several vaccines for all adults. Your Tetanus vaccine should be updated every 10 years. There are two different types of Tetanus vaccines, ask your doctor or nurse which is appropriate for you. The Shingles vaccine is recommended for persons over the age of 60 and the Pneumonia vaccine is recommended for persons over the age of 65. Certain people should receive the Pneumonia vaccine at an earlier age. If you have a chronic medical problem and feel that you should receive it at an earlier age, please call the doctor for direction.
